Testimonial Spotlights
Administrator Perspective
“As a former student government officer who once attended one of your ASGA conferences during my own undergraduate years, I can genuinely say the experience was transformative. So much of what I learned back then shaped the leader and the man I am today. To now have the chance to give back through ASGA feels like a full-circle moment. Thank you for the incredible work you continue to do. ASGA truly makes a difference, and I hope you never forget the impact it has on students and professionals alike.”
John P. Jackson
Vice President for Student Affairs • St. Thomas University
John P. Jackson
Student Leader Perspective
“I left Washington, D.C. with a renewed sense of purpose in advocacy and an even deeper passion for government that extends beyond the classroom. Conferences like this transform ordinary students into extraordinary leaders, and I am truly honored to have benefited from your work and dedication. The workshops were exceptional — each offering invaluable insight into how I can more effectively lead our chapter.”

Returning Attendee — Years Later
“I attended your conference in D.C. in 2007. Since then our student government has continued to send students to that conference. What we learned through your organization helped the SG at Simpson College greatly. We implemented Robert’s Rules shortly after attending. Our weekly meetings were much more structured and constructive as a result. The second was a general sense of empowerment. This idea that as a SGA, we could make decisions that make a real impact. This led to us being much more proactive on many topics.”
